Who is this guy?

Well, I was originally born in New Jersey ("originally", as if I was then born somewhere else later). I grew up taking things apart, much to the chagrin of my mother. Does anyone still use the word "chagrin"? At some point, I started teaching myself how to actually put things together, just as a change of pace.

I went to school with the intention of building and tinkering my way into the special effects industry, which I succeeded in doing for a short while. I worked on some tv shows, making fun stuff like dead bodies, moving body parts, and other weirdness. At some point the bottom fell out of the economy and I "transitioned" into freelance work.

By a random chance meeting at a book signing, I discovered and subsequently got a job making stop-motion puppets. Random, right? Yeah, I wouldn't have called that either. Now I'm splitting my time between that and my personal business, which brings us up to the here and now.
